Come from a very reliable source.

Just need to make sure we stay up!

In terms of names I`m not being told but I`m being told that the Wanyama signing will be surpassed....

I’m here to take over!!

Dunfermline spending 300 thousand on a player 😄. Saying that I`ve had a look at the top 2 Bulgarian leagues and there are a few players that could fit the bill. There is a 23 year old called Denislav Angelou in their 2nd division that`s scored 15 goals. Of course it might not even be a player playing in Bulgaria but I`d imagine the Bulgarian 2nd division is a decent standard.

Pure guesswork and speculation on my part. 300 thousand quid could get us half a team. The owner is rich, but not insanely rich.

I don’t see why Wanyama would be signed without considering having him next season.

He turned down another offer at QPR, he’s talked about wanting to live in Scotland.

Yes he’s unfit, but he’s not a dinosaur, he’s 33 and over the break and into preseason he’ll have ample opportunity to get fit.

It may be a shrewd move acquiring him now as a fitter version in future will likely have encouraged more suitors which we may not have been able to compete with.

We have to stay up ofcourse but if we do I’d like to see both NL and Wanyama kept on and excited by the rumours about what Bord has planned.

Maybe the way this season has went actually works in our favour, funny how football works itself out.

Courier reporting McCann is out for the season with a hamstring injury suffered during an open training session.

With McCann and Young being out - I know Lenny has said we are down to the bare bones - we would have been in real trouble without the mass signings in Jan/Feb !!
As has been said elsewhere - with the pitch being as it is - we are playing longball. Could be a great chance for someone to step up and the catch the eye for an extended contract or offer to sign?
If he is fit I would have O`Halloran taking McCann`s role in a CK -MOH pairing
Who knows , maybe its Rivaldo`s turn to shine.

Not so sure covernty, Sutherland and yeboah are much the same for me so I’d rather have given Sutherland the chances yeboah has had.

Apart from mullan none of the Jan signings have made much impact.

GG of course you would rather have McCann fit and available for selection in the current team given our lack of options, the point I was making is that McCann has not been in the team for his height as he doesn’t win much in the air. He’s better than yeboah anyway.

He can`t get a scan until Monday so the swelling can go down but NL thinks it`s a bad one and his season is probably over.

The Hamilton point deduction is huge McCann out for presumably the season and kane will probably miss 1 of the remaining 3 leaves us with very little in the way of attacking options. If we can get Lenny to stay I`d be happy to trust his judgement on the contracts expiring and bringing in guys to get us challenging for top 4.

We might get some surprises in who he retains.
The players are not as bad as all the wannabe Peles on here. Most just needed a better manager. He might think he can work with some of them.

History will tell you most aren`t though. Relegation, returned, limped to safety, and poor performances far too often this year and fighting to save us from the drop again ( aided by the Hamilton situation).

From what I`ve heard the board is wanting to challenge the top 4. Apart from comrie kane (when fit ) mullen and maybe otoo I can`t see anyone else good enough for a top 4 team. 3 managers we have had and even Lennon is struggling to get a tune out of the team. Although he has at least got the common sense to get rid of this passing out from the back patter that the other 2 plonkers didn`t.

c'mon the pars

A lot of this squad have had plenty of time to prove themselves at this level and haven`t. A big summer clear out is absolutely necessary. There are some I`d keep though

I can see Comrie, Chalmers and Hamilton being offered deals. The rest will be off.

Need a huge rebuild as majority of players aren’t good enough.

If NL stays on as manager presumably he`ll make his decisions on contracts based on what he has seen in games and in training rather than hearsay evidence from folk at the club or comments on fans` forums. Certain players who haven`t shone under previous managers may fit the way he wants the team to play.

Clay might be one to fall into that category.

Lennon likes Clay as he reminds him of himself. A simple no frills ball winner.

Wanayama signs for next season if he can prove he`s worth the contract.

That`s 100% true, no sarcasm.

He won`t be the most high profile player at the club next season either....

Stay up & Lennon signs a 3-year deal & has a substantial budget.0

Says who?
Speculation, gut feeling, or inside info?

To be fair I heard from someone that has been pretty damn itk in the past say the same thing, stay up and there will be substantial investment in the team in comparison to the last few years.

Yes I believe there will be. I was meaning, who says Wanyama and higher profile players will be recruited though?

This was mentioned on the BBC Scotland Football Podcast by a jurno after Wanyama signed. Can’t remember the exact wording but it was along the lines of Bord is “throwing the kitchen sink at it”, “has big plans for moving forward” and that he has heard that there are agreements in place to sign a Bulgarian for £300,000 in the summer” along with other high profile players.

Edit to add, the episode was the 25th of March

Possibly someone from our sister club, Septemvri Sofia, like their young striker Borislav Rupanov. It would make sense for there to be some kind of link up

I wouldn’t mind Clay getting offered a deal for next season. I’ve been really impressed with him last few games, makes you wonder why McPake and Tidser never used him. As far as I’m aware he wasn’t injured as he was on the bench most weeks, his attitude seems spot on and he’s been one of our better players recently.

Oh, you could be on to something here, definitely plausible if the jurno is right 👍🏻
