I know for a fact we’re in for Easton and that we have a third bid in for him.

I could see that he would be the type of player NL would be interested in. He probably has two seasons left in him at the championship level.

Which is exactly what Easton told me on Saturday.

And that he is getting offered a good amount of money, would be happy to make the move, only sticking point is whether Raith are willing to accept anything.

I see, transfermarkt have his contract expiring today, he was quoted as saying he “ has some time left with Celtic “ in May.

OK Berry, sounds good. Might happen, might not, but it shows intent on our part.

"Believe what you want sir, spoke with him on Saturday at Pitreavie, his boy plays for Templehall (cracking wee player) and they were playing my boys team and he was there watching in his rovers tracksuit."

presume giving timing was because he was going straight to Linlithgow. HE isnt going to tell the man in the street he`s coming here. He will work with his current employers until there is a position that he is allowd to discuss terms with us (or anyone else) and until that is granted then its all just rumour/speculation

The main point being made is that there is something going on which isn`t being reported in the media and that could be the case with other negotiations.

Report from Scott Burns:

"Dunfermline Athletic and Partick Thistle are both keen on Louis Moult.

The Championship pair have both declared an interest in the 33-year-old.

Moult is a free agent after he left Dundee United in the summer.

Pars boss Neil Lennon is keen to add more of a cutting edge to his frontline and wants to take Moult to East End Park.

Rivals Thistle are also interested with boss Mark Wilson looking for somebody to replace Brian Graham’s goals.

Moult also has options back in England but would return north for the right option."

The right signing, showing intent, will help other negotiations/interested players to come along for the promo push party...
- an Easton or a Moult would be very good .... my gut tells me we have something up our sleeve - Lennon wants "plenty more" and "quality too".

The sponsor announcement and strip launch on Friday will have a well kent face ready to hit the socials.

I wont be too surprised if it takes another couple of weeks to get some of our "paying a fee for them" targets though eg Raith would want to be sure of a replacement to sell us Easton.

Ofcourse he isn’t, but as mentioned, it indicates that despite press not reporting on it, there is something going on between the two clubs at the moment.

Whether it will materialise into anything, who knows.

Moult should still be able to score some goals in the championship. Would be happy enough with that.

maybe the plan will be to alternate Kane and Moult to keep one fit each week.

Scott Burns at the Record -

CalumWalls1996 asked: Will it be likely Dunfermline have any incomings this week?

Yes, there should be at least one arrival this week that I know about. It should be an arrival from a Scottish Premiership club.

https://dafc.co.uk/neil-lennon-pleased-with-pre-season-progress/

"Looking ahead, Neil Lennon hinted at further additions to the squad: “We’re looking for a lot more in a few positions. We are hoping that the next few weeks are going to be busy. I think we’re close to a couple, so we’ll see.”

other part in there about looking to add a few more to the youth group too.
