Rumours online are that we are in for Alasdair Davidson (seems it’s been a good trial for him 👍🏻) Rory Macleod from Dundee Utd and Kane Hemmings - mind him? 😂

Seen a clip of Hemings scoring in a sort of exit trials PFA thing yesterday, he looked about 4 stone overweight.

The problem with growing your own talent now, is how easily they are cherry picked by clubs slightly higher up the ladder. The minute we have a player who looks half decent, a club like Dundee/motherwell/st Mirren will pick them up for absolute peanuts.

Of course they are, youngsters heads will always be turned by the SPL and what they can promise them!

However, if we can get in and cement our place in the top league then we’ll be able to do that, we’ll be able to attract decent talent! I’ve said it before that the academy is a good idea if you are in the top division, when you are struggling in lower divisions it’s a weight around your neck!

He really doesn`t. He`s always been a unit of a player.

He’s 34 now, seems like forever since he ripped the life out of 8000 fans at East End Park scoring in the 1st minute of the 2nd leg play off.

Playing alongside Greg Stewart, incredible they got into relegation trouble that season.

I notice Sam Cosgrove in that PFA trial, he must be on a few radars.

I`ve just had a look at the PFA Scotland website. The `trial match` is the culmination of a week`s training where the players do physical work etc. Kevin Rutkiewicz is one of the coaches. The players also have sessions where they are made aware of other job skills and opportunities. I`m not sure if it`s just a one-week thing or is ongoing during the close season. I think it may be a `free` benefit of being a PFA member.

Looks like we`re about to bring Shea Kearney in from Cliftonville. Highly rated, just signed a new deal over there, and played in a Euro Qualifier earlier this week. The kind of signing that could be very good business!

Northern Ireland Under-21 international Shea Kearney is set to leave Cliftonville for Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline Athletic.
The Scottish Championship side, with ambitions of winning promotion to the Premiership, have swooped for the highly-rated youngster believing he has the potential to become a key player for them.

The Record have picked up on it -

Dunfermline are set to sign Cliftonville midfielder Shea Kearney.

The youngster - who was represented Northern Ireland at U21 level - was previously linked with a move down south.

But the Belfast Telegraph report that he is set to join up with Neil Lennon`s side at East End Park on a permanent deal.

He`s a RB/RWB not a midfielder.
