522. Author: NMCmassive Date: Mon 14th Jul 2025. 10:52 Berkey getting all the love from multiple angles eh! Don’t worry Berkey, I understand what you’re saying. It wasn’t even you who wrote “McCann” this time and to be fair, your statement was open ended. Could have been a number of players you were referring to. What I’m taking from what Berkey is saying is our recruitment has been p15h. We ended up holding onto players who weren’t good enough to challenge and not replacing them with players who were good enough to challenge. Given we’ve bounced around the championship mid table not including a couple of seasons in League 1 - it’s hard to argue his statement isn’t correct. COYP Reply |
523. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 14th Jul 2025. 11:10 It`s hardly rocket science to say that success at a football club is hugely dependent on recruitment. You hear it all the time in the media. What many on here find distasteful is the way criticism is personalised to the point where it looks like a campaign to single out certain players for no benefit to anyone. Reply |
524. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Mon 14th Jul 2025. 11:44 KRH role has changed since he first came. I didn`t think he was out of place on Saturday. He did what he was asked to do, I suspect. At the end of the day, we lost to a premiership team, we stopped Shankland scoring in open play but made two individual errors. The first error led to a very, very soft penalty. The second was an instinctive foot. We do lack the depth that we will need for the season, but I don`t think that will be any more than offering different options in games rather than based on players` ability. We will need every player in the squad for the season ahead. G Wardrope Reply |

528. Author: GJS93 Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 22:36 22:16 Scott Burns Pars reject Otoo bid Dunfermline Athletic have turned down a fresh bid from Crawley Town for Ewan Otoo. The English League Two side have renewed their interest in the versatile midfielder. Their latest offer has been turned down again by the Pars. Otoo has been a long-term target for Crawley. They had multiple offers turned down last summer. Neil Lennon has made it clear he wants to keep the 22-year-old at East End Park and see him as key figure going forward. Reply |
529. Author: obiwanyouknowme Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 22:47 He’s in his final year so I guess Money might talk and he might want to go if he’s no fancying left wing back Reply |
530. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 22:48 We definitely need another striker or 2 brought in, still light up top. Really like the look of Gilmour and Amate on midfield, very calm on the ball and play it simple. Kearney looks like he’s a player and will be a big asset. Reply |
531. Author: PARadise Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 22:59 I`ll be in the minority I imagine with Otoo but I`d take the money, don`t think he`s a lwb and the midfielders we have now are a lot tidier and can do the physical work as well. Hes a great player for squad versatility but I think his touch and dribbling leave a lot to be desired at times. Saying that I don`t think Lennon will let him go regardless, but if the numbers made sense I`d take it. Reply |
532. Author: Never10yairds Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 23:06 I’d agree with that paradise. If the money is right and could fund us going out and buying a natural LWB I’d take it. Reply |
533. Author: DRreturns Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 23:15 PARadise You are 100% correct in saying you’re in the minority!! He was a LB when we signed him. Is by a country mile our best midfielder. You must be watching him with your eyes shut! Can take a player and has a superb delivery. Can’t actually believe you’ve written what you written. Premiusong you went finishing, you’ve caught me for sure 😂😂 I’m here to take over!! Reply |
534. Author: coventrypar Date: Tue 22nd Jul 2025. 23:20 Otoo Agree with the last few posters Decent, dependable but .. Just a hunch... Lenny bigging him up as versatile another interview - "we physicality have big players...for now" He goes for a fee and we sign a good LWB or striker I note our number 9 jersey is still free. Kane number 20 etc Gilmour and Amade as Ahoy says ... they are an upgrade on Otto, but also last seasons Hamilton and Chalmers too We are so much tighter with passing but crucially tackling just now from skilful players - i am wondering if Otoo is needed ( he was a standout last season). 536. Author: NMCmassive Date: Wed 23rd Jul 2025. 01:51 I certainly don’t think Otoo is our best midfielder. I think Otoo could turn out to be a Scottish premier league player in a season or two but he’s got a lot of work to do. I’d prefer to keep him but if the money helped bring in an Oli Shaw or another striker/forward player… you’d maybe take it. COYP Reply |
537. Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Wed 23rd Jul 2025. 10:45 Depends how much the offer is I guess, but I agree, Ottoo is decent but nowhere near our best midfielder. Lennon clearly doesn’t rate Ngwenya either, that much is obvious with the lack of minutes he`s had. At the end of the day, everyone’s got a price, and if we can bring in a proper LWB, someone in the mould of Kearney for the other flank then I’d be happy enough to move Ottoo on. No point standing in the way if the money’s right and we’ve got a proper replacement lined up. c'mon the pars Reply |
538. Author: obiwanyouknowme Date: Wed 23rd Jul 2025. 11:19 I like Otoo but i personally think he is better in Midfield. As said above Lennon must think that he is better on the left having brought in Gilmour and Amade and then the extensions to TOB and Hamilton. As he is in his last year and if we are looking to progress we cant let players leave for free if there is interest unless we are tying them down. If the price is right it may make sense to move on and bring in a replacement, the issue would be who is the replacement - Not much out there Reply |

540. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Wed 23rd Jul 2025. 11:40 I’m not sure how much Crawley are offering and if Ewan even wants the move, but if it’s well over £100k and the player would like to go, then I think we should deal. ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Reply |
