361. Author: Muppet Par Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 19:35 Hard to post positively about a club that’s been terrible for well over a decade. Repeating the same mistakes of signing inexperienced young boys. Dunno how the happy clappers can accept this mediocrity time after time. For there to be no strips 4 days before the season starts is a total embarrassment as well. ![]() Reply |
362. Author: AlterPar Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 19:35 That’s a fair response, are you able to say for sure that this is the fault of the club? Do you have knowledge of what’s going on? If you do, fair enough. But it’s so easy to pass criticism without actually knowing the facts. Reply |

365. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 19:46 AlterPar, Tue 8 Jul 19:35 If it wasn’t the fault of the club, then surely the club would have come out and passed the blame on to either the manufacturers or the shirt printers? The silence speaks for itself at the minute. I agree da_no_1 - that may change if we pull out some worldy signings, or Lennon gets a real tune out of a squad full of under-performers and youngsters. But at the minute I can’t see us finishing top half as it stands. Reply |
366. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 19:53 I don`t think it would be good business practice to publicly blame kit suppliers or printers if you still have to deal with them, whatever the situation is. Reply |
367. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 19:56 wee eck, Tue 8 Jul 19:53 So it’s a better business practice to alienate customers and lose a huge chunk of revenue by taking the flak yourself? 🤔 Reply |
368. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 20:13 I don`t see it as a choice. Surely revenue and reputation are affected regardless of blame? Reply |
369. Author: Bigbeefcake Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 20:20 I can’t understand why people keep burying heads in the sand when it comes to how badly run we actually are. Signing policy failed under the Germans and failed in January but here we are on rinse and repeat. Our two biggest revenue streams in pre season are kit sales and season tickets. It would take a fool to argue that both haven’t been chaotic and shambolic. Another potential money spinner early season is getting out the groups of the League Cup. See Falkirk last season or Raith the season before. We seem quite happy just treating them as glorified pre season friendlies. Excitement of a fresh start has been sooked right out of me and several others so it seems. Cue a barrage of abuse and insults coming my way because I’m not delighted at the way things are going It`s another big beefy bonanza at the beefcake boulevard!! Reply |
370. Author: DAFCinBK Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 20:22 FWIW I would say it is almost never good business practise to throw your partner under the bus publicly. Maybe if they had hired assassins to run amok, but not if they just messed up the size of a sticker on a football strip. Of course behind doors, you might want to go right through them and demand a discount, but not in public. Post Edited (Tue 08 Jul 20:23) Reply |
371. Author: parsmad68 Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 20:41 DAFCinBK, Tue 8 Jul 20:22 Agree totally. The club do need to regularly communicate with clear deliverable information irrespective of whether it is bad news or not. The first game is on Saturday and if there is to be no new shirts then so be it, but for gods sake communicate it to the customers. Bad things do happen in business but the measure of the business is how to get out of the hole created. Currently it is not great to be fair, but still time to recover it. Reply |
372. Author: Gaz3822 Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 20:55 Some of the posters are right to tell it as it is regarding the strips and signings. On the one hand the signings so far are similar to previous windows, fairly uninspiring. On the other hand I might change my mind when the signings are completed, we`ll see. Despite what Lenny says, he can`t be overly happy. Listening to the EK game I heard him giving it `ffs` loads of times, but after the game he was saying he`s happy, so he tells whoever listens what he wants, that`s the way of it. As regards the strips, it looks amateur but what do I know Reply |
373. Author: DAFCinBK Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 21:37 I don`t disagree, but in terms of signings, I think Amade might well be inspiring this season. He could end up being the best centre mid we have had in many years. Way too early to say for sure, but he has had a promising start, albeit in relaxed friendlies. Reply |
374. Author: Kdy Par Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 21:50 Muppet Par, Tue 8 Jul 19:06 Lennon has already said signings won’t be in place before the league cup but the squad will be sorted before the league kicks off. I can’t for the life of me understand why you’re so negative. 5/6 quality signings to come. No point rushing things. Reply |
375. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 21:54 Re the lack.of experienced signings, could it be we have other `foreign` signings lined up but they involve a bit of red tape (like Amade) which might explain the delay in finalising them? There`s a pervasive `blame culture` on here but sometimes you just have to accept the system is bureaucratic and you can`t control it. Even if we are targeting UK players there may be a few dominoes that have to fall before they become available. Reply |
376. Author: parsfan97 Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 21:56 We are on the verge of going into the cup games with 1 senior goalkeeper again and even he isn’t good enough. Clubs had the best part of 8/9 weeks to identify and get a goalie in. Who’s to blame for that? Reply |
377. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 22:01 Maybe the guy we want needs clearance or is considering other offers. Why should someone be to blame? Reply |
378. Author: parsfan97 Date: Tue 8th Jul 2025. 22:04 Because it was deemed a joke we went into competitive games last year with 1 keeper? Nothings changed Reply |
