And yet some fans seem to think we should have had this sorted at the start of the transfer window... The worry is that we have put all our eggs in one basket chasing Kirk, fail, and end up really short up top for yet another 4 months before the next window. ^^^ Dave1885 - I don`t believe for a second that we have put all our eggs in one basket and targeted only a solitary striker 🤔 DunfyDave Reply

Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Mon 25th Aug 2025. 16:35 Dandy Warhol, Mon 25 Aug 16:07 It would be bitterly disappointing if we don`t bring someone in after all the hype, in saying that though, i still think a lot of folk got carried away with themselves, we were never challenging the top 3 this season. I totally agree, I think here was a massive overreaction to how much the owners were realistically pump in. In reality the Germans probably saw how big a task it was to juggle fixing the infrastructure and build a squad that can properly challenge near the top of this league. I`d say currently we are almost certainly paying higher wages than last year’s squad. I`d say we are probably a mid table team at the moment. What’s annoying is we’ve all known for months where the glaring weakness was and yet we’re now at the business end of the window with no alternative when kane misses multiple games. Every man and his dog knows we’re desperate, so we will probably end up paying over the odds for someone who might’ve cost half the price 3 or 4 weeks ago. It’s frustrating but it`s pretty much where we are at the minute. c'mon the pars Reply

I said months ago for a joke that I’d be raging if we didn’t bring anyone new in and end up resigning Lewis McCann. I’m not just saying this, I would genuinely prefer we stuck with what we have than just bring in any old jobber to plod about and frustrate the life out of us, had enough of that. If the addition isn’t going to enhance the squad then let’s just leave it a few months and see what the option is then, is my view. Reply
