By definition, I doubt the owners would be throwing money at anything. The point of the analytics and an experienced management team is to look at the available players and determine if they would be the right fit for tge right price There is then a process of whether a player is prepared to come. Tge days of instant success or buying success are long over. You have to put in the hard miles and earn success. A simple fact of life unless you win the lottery.

I agree with the club statement on agreements with other clubs. Best to stand on your own two feet, have a clear identity, and take responsibility for the decisions you make as an independent club.

Disappointing another week passing and no sign of the new strikers we badly need. More strips than strikers at the club.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Apparently, and I use that term loosely. Twere hoping to unveil a new signing alongside the kit. Word is the players struggled to get there on time, so they tried to hold things off for as long as they could. That’s just what I heard from a guy in the queue, though, so take it with a pinch of salt.

He did say he wanted 2.
Whats good is, it looks like we have a squad that can score from several positions

Kane and Young are good enough but another one of each was mentioned .

For me the jury is still out on Young. He didn’t really impress against Airdrie and a few times he looked clumsy, falling over the ball when we needed a bit of composure. Albeit Andrew Tod wasn`t exactly great either until his goal.

I just don’t see Young as the type that’s going to chip in with 10+ goals at this level. Hopefully he proves me wrong, gets one soon and goes on a run, but from what I’ve seen so far I’m struggling to picture it.

Must admit, at the moment, I share this opinion. I’m not for a minute saying he’s a dud and I do hope he goes on to be a big player for us in the years to come, but I’m just not seeing it so far.

I see Young like Petrie, seemed to take an age to get that first goal, then, Pars legend.
Give the lad a chance.

I’m more than happy to give the lad a chance, don’t get me wrong. I’d love nothing more than for him to hit the kind of numbers he managed at Edinburgh City. But honestly, I just can’t see it happening here.

I think Young has looked pretty good so far, been unlucky not to score and his hold up play looks better than it was in January when he arrived. Once he gets one I think plenty will come, probably not at the rate he managed for Edinburgh City, but we don`t play in League 2.

I think Young will come good, it`s a big step up in quality going from League 2 to the Championship but once he gets his eye in, he`ll be fine

I think Young is good as well and will score double figures if he stays in the team

It was funny watching the highlights of the Airdrie game, when folk had said Young had been poor. He played a clever flick into Cooper who should have done better, had a nice spin and shot that the keeper saved, played the one-two for the first goal, was inches away from scoring the second goal (he was at the front post and stretched out his leg but didn`t make any contact and it ended up being turned in by Tod), won countless free kicks and was a nuisance to the Airdrie defence. Now I`d rather he was between the goalposts around 10-30 yards from goal but with Kane missing he was having to do two striker roles at the same time.

Young requires a bit of patience, he was brought in last season whilst scoring for fun at Edinburgh City. He`s jumped up two tiers, just turned 21, so let`s give him some time to adapt to the level and develop under Lennon.
