And still no striker yet.
Wonder who does the negotiations?

Very much doubt he failed a medical. He’s played every game this season and played 35 games last season.

NMC, just what I would do, no inside info.

Tenruh, hadn’t heard that but makes sense, I had wondered why he hadn’t moved on from Hamilton. He’s too good for seaside league and they need cash. Him having an identifiable medical condition explains why he hasn’t moved on.

NL`s assessment of Caceres on COWS - “Jefferson is a really good finisher. He didn’t have a great time at Sheffield United. he didn’t play a lot, if at all. So, we want to integrate him into the Scottish culture, the footballing culture here and then let him express himself. He’s a really talented player.”

Maybe there are goals to come from that source.

The Courier is reporting that Andrew Tod will be out for 21 days as a result of the protocols applying to concussions but, the way the fixtures fall at the moment, he`ll only miss Saturday`s game against Ross County.

With the uncertainty around whether or not the Indian Premier league will go ahead or not, I wonder if there are any potential options/targets that could be on our radar?

Will he save it? Save it??? He never bloody saw it! Like a bullet!

Connor Shields (ex-Motherwell) is featured in the Record as someone who has played the last two years in India but is back home training on his own as he awaits news of what`s to happen there. He wasn`t particularly prolific when he played in Scotland though or in India. his career stats are 41 goals in 251 games per wikipedia.

Jason Cummings is also affected by the problems in India but he is still under contract whilst Shields is out of contract.

Connor Shields has only scored 2 goals in as many seasons out there but his experience and physicality could help us out.

Jordan Rhodes, Chris Martin and Connor Wickham all still out of contract would help massively alongside Kane/Connor Young.

Also notice that there are 5 “strikers” still without a club who played in the Championship last season and 4 are ex-Pars strikers.

McCann, Medude, McGill and Jakubiak, says it all really.

I don’t think McGill played for anyone last season. Left Airdrie at the end of 23/24.

Chris Martin would be an interesting one - 21 league goals in 57 games over the last 2 years, but is 36 without a pre season behind him - would take a while to get up to speed.

We really need to get one in before the window shuts though. Our striking options, for a top 4 push, do not look good enough if we will only get 70% of game time from Kane over the season at best.

Chris Martin is the one that stands out to me as the “Brewster” type player. Would hold the ball up, win his headers and link up with the second striker.

Rhodes is the only one I`d personally consider. The only Chris Martin i can find is at Spartack Moscow and he doesn`t fill me with confidence.

Chris Martin has plied his trade in England for years and is an ex Scotland international, most remembered for his last grasp winner v Slovenia at Hampden in a qualifying campaign under Strachan.

Not sure about Chris Martin. I`ve heard he`s Trouble and the idea of him signing sends a Shiver down my spine. I`m sure some on here will put me In My Place though.

It could be Magic where Sparks could fly but might suit a team more in Yellow or that lot from Paradise.

Hopefully if we signed one of these guys they would be like a 36 year old Craig Brewster and not a 32 year old Noel Whelan!
