Crazy seeing Otoo on there. Perfect example of why guys like Todd, Ngwenya and Mullen are right to dive on other offers. It’s a fickle business!

Was Otoo injured? He seemed to have just vanished. He was not even at the end of season sponsor event

NL said at the start of last season;

I’ve got a luxury of good midfield players. You think of Hamilton, Tash, Gilmour, Alfons, Bray, so we’re well accommodated in there. It’s not me pushing Ewan out of that position. We looked at him in that position last year and felt he’d be more beneficial to the team in a wider area.”

Maybe there has been a parting of ways in terms of Ewan within the framework of the team. With Tash and Hamilton gone it seems he was lower down the pecking order. He has been good for the club so I wish him well. I think he will end up at a championship club subject to futness. If hes out of contract makes sense to get involved in the PFA pre season work.

Didn`t James McPake advise him to ignore interest from down South as he`d get better offers in due course if he stayed at the Pars and improved? You`d think those clubs who were interested then might take a chance on hm now that he`s a free agent. A lot can change in a couple of years though.

Yeah. It`s a shame for Ewan Otoo (which is very difficult to type without my phone trying to change it to something else - bloody Otoo-correct).

There is a player in there for sure, I`d have thought if anyone could help him find his best position and get the best out of him as a player it would be Neil Lennon.

It`s crazy that not long ago we were discussing interest in him from the likes of Leyton Orient and how fees less than £250,000 should be knocked back and the next thing we are letting him leave. I guess it`s like the Ngwenya situation in reverse, in December no one on here wanted to keep him and then he becomes a hot property

He`s a player I liked a lot, and we should be grateful for the season where everyone was injured, and he played in almost every position, filling in

I think this did harm his career, he just couldn`t define his position, and last season he had a couple of real stinkers.

Best of luck, he played some brilliant football also, surely a club at least at Championship level should pick him up, potentially he could go much higher, on the other hand his career could just fizzle out.

Ways liked Ewan as a player.i wish him well in his future career. He is bright and articulate so may have a future in the game beyond playing.

Wish Ewan all the best in getting a new club.

He had some decent physical attributes which meant he was able to play in a number of positions, but I don’t think he was a particularly good footballer. He could run, tackle, head the ball and run with the ball a bit but there wasn’t a single position where he was better than players who regularly played there. We had better centre backs, better central midfielders, better wing backs etc. He could do a job in a lot of positions and in a team with a small squad could be a useful player to have. As our ambitions and quality in the squad improved he became surplus.

With regards to the fees offered, my understanding is that these were fairly negligible and the comments regarding £250k were about the fees a club would need to make to sign him although the actual amounts offered were a country mile from this.

Always gave 100%, certainly can’t knock the effort he put in.

Interesting the 2 young lads signed from the old Firm B teams struggled at championship level after looking good and now might struggle to even stay full time.

Hosler in particular given he must have been a very promising youth.

Accies with o’hara and Ryan upfront, Geezo.
