Is Jake not still with us?

Thought it was only a loan he was on!

Aye, Jake Sutherland is a year long loan at Montrose.

In other news. The Courier are reporting that Aaron Donnelly could be announced on a loan deal very soon and be with us for the ICT game on Saturday.

Great business for them. Very good player and has his head screwed on. Surprised no prem clubs went in for him

Seems odd to take two months to decide to stay where you are. Do we know how long his deal is?

It’s just a one year deal

His development fee was apparently very high, so any club coming in for him would`ve paid a significant 6 figure fee with add ons. This is apparently what put Falkirk off along with other clubs.

He had a trial game at Wigan a few days ago. Not sure what’s become of that.

According to Scott Burns in the Record -

`Livingston are set to add more firepower to their Championship promotion push by re-signing Bruce Anderson. The 27-year-old is about to return to the Lions for a second spell. He had been in talks with Rotherham but has decided to return to Scotland.

The striker is a free agent after leaving Kilmarnock at the end of the season. Anderson had a successful three-year stint at Livi before that. Head coach Glenn Whelan was keen to add another goal threat and was keen to get Anderson on board. A deal is expected to be done for Anderson to make his second bow against Queen’s Park tomorrow.`

That would be a great signing in my opinion. I remember being impressed by him when we had him on loan from Aberdeen when Allan Johnston was our manager I think. I thought he would have gone on to better things actually.

Crawford was in charge when Anderson came to the club.

"So think that would leave 3 more players to come in if that deal goes ahead smoothly."

if looking at what left they havent replaced Turley, Hamilton, Todd and Thomas in terms of positionally and type of player. maybe they could do that in 3 rather than 4 but they need to get that sorted along with few out on loan to balance the squad.

edit: will need more than that and more outs as well if its going to be ripped up and start again as a back 4 after 1 league game.

Thanks for the correction, GJS. Stevie had a good eye for a player. Josh Edwards was another of his recruits I think.

Crawford was excellent at finding hidden gems in the lower leagues and developing. If we are being honest, we haven`t come close to the level his teams were at until this year

Always wondered why he never went into a recruitment role after leaving East Fife, it would make sense, unless these guys were spotted by someone else.
