QPR are said to be interested in signing Motherwell`s first choice goalie, Calum Ward. If that`s likely to go through they might be reluctant to sell Aston Oxborough.

QPR set to sign him for £800k. Presume Ox won`t be leaving until a replacement comes in

Motherwell still have keepers Matty Connelly and Aston Oxborough on their books.

Connelly is likely to start in the pre-season friendly against Carlisle United.

If he impresses he is expected to keep the gloves for their Conference League opener against Havnar Boltfelag.

Two deals affecting the Championship -

Partick Thistle have signed defender Ethan Ingram permanently. Ingram spent the second half of last season on loan at the Jags and impressed as they made the playoffs. He left Dundee in the summer and now he`s signed on permanently, penning a two-year deal.

Henry Fieldson is set to be announced as a St Mirren player. Record Sport understands the 21-year-old, who has spent the last two seasons at Queen`s Park, has signed a two-year deal with the option of another year. The 21-year-old left footed centre back, whose move is expected to be completed soon, is seen to be a potential replacement for Miguel Freckleton who departed the Paisley side to join Austrian Champions LASK. St Mirren said the club couldn’t stand in Freckleton‘s way when the possibility of playing Champions League football comes calling.

I must admit, I`m pretty impressed by Rangers` business so far. If I were a Celtic fan, I wouldn`t be looking forward to the season ahead.

There`s a possibility that more new signings will be crossing the Irish Sea to come to Dunfermline with Lennon having tapped that market last year for Shea Kearney and now for Dibaga and Corbally.

He said: "Not just Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland is a good market as well.

"Although they have a lot of suitors over there from higher echelons and leagues above us.

"We`ve been looking at players in Dublin and Cork and obviously up north as well in the Irish League.

"Kian`s a player who`s been around a little bit in the League of Ireland and had a really good year at Ballymena.

"He`s slotted in very well and brings a little bit of something different to what we had last year.

"We`re delighted with how he`s done so far.

"It`ll be a transition period for him, no question, coming into full-time football.

"But he`s settled in very well, so yeah, it`s a market that we`re always looking at."

Dundee have signed former Hearts winger Alan Forrest.

The wide man has penned a two-year deal with the Dens Park club after leaving the Jambos when his contract expired at the end of the season.

We’ve been monitoring Alan’s situation for a while and it’s excellent to be able to bring him to Dundee," said boss Steven Pressley.He has all the attributes we were looking for in his position, like his one-to-one ability, delivery of crosses, and ball-carrying, and he is very hard-working against the ball.Like all of our signings so far this summer, Alan had plenty of options to consider and it’s great for us that he saw Dundee as a good fit for him.Alan is someone who knows the Scottish game very well. He’s performed well at this level for a number of years, and we believe he still has a lot to give.
