Good stuff. Wonder if this will possibly pave the way for Rudden to move on now?

I can`t see Zack Rudden moving. I suspect thats why Connor Young has moved on. We have injury challenges with Zack Rudden and Chris Kane so I would think Olly Thomas is another attacking option.

“We may have to trim the squad a little bit,” he added. “There may be a few players who may be a bit underused between now and January.

“It might be beneficial for them to go out and get playing.”

Lennon yesterday before the news on Young out, Thomas in.

Connor Young away to QoTS.

For an undisclosed fee as well. Shame it never worked out for him here. All the best to the lad.

Gets his chance in league 1. Untestested at any level above league 2 so will be interesting to see how that works out for him. Good luck to the guy although happy with that business letting him go and bringing olly in.

I think its fair to say that Olly Thomas coming in and Connor Young moving on the squad is stronger. Thats no slight on Connor, just the stage we are at now. I hope he kicks on and works hard. If he does his time will come.

Everybody`s raving about Josh McPake this morning but Hearts is his tenth club and he`s only 25! And we missed out on him -

`After training with clubs such as Dunfermline Athletic after being released by Rangers, McPake signed a deal on 23 February 2024 with Scottish League One club Stirling Albion until the end of the season.`

Success in football rarely follow a straight line. Guys like Connor Young should take heart from that.

So it was during Tidsers short reign that we let McPake go. `

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

That`s correct.

It must have been during McPake`s spell (May 22 - Dec 24)

McPake at that stage wasn`t worth the risk due to his off field behaviour.

He`s grown up a bit now and screwed the head, but given the stories from his Queen`s Park days we were well clear of him.

Sometimes things just click at a club, whether it’s the personnel, the shape and style of play , or simply the right fit. Nisbet was like that with us. It was probably his last chance at full time football and, to be fair to him, he took it and has gone on to make a good career for himself since.
