Abdulai is a centre half, if anyone can move into midfield I would say John Tod would be a better option

East Kilbride have signed Owen Moffat after his release fae Morton.

Quality signing for them in League One and only 24, he should run it up down there.

I like Moffat.

He was hot and cold when he played for us so I wasn`t too disappointed when he left but he`s changed my mind a bit since.

When we played Morton at East End last season he was doing a lot of things I had hoped Caceres might do. His performance made me question our signing policy a bit.

As a player I`d imagine that kind of performance is exactly what you want to give against a former employer who has let you go.

He`s doesn`t seem to play a full 90 very often so maybe an injury or fitness issue there. He should be excellent in L1.

Austin Macphee moves from Aston Villa to Chelsea as set ball coach, interesting he was at our game at EEP last week.

He has amazing statistics for the amount of goals scored from set pieces whilst at Aston Villa.

Interesting that Villa weren’t even in the top 10 for goals scored from set pieces.

He made a cracking save in one of their recent games. Think he’ll do alright in League One for them.

Was indeed a cracking save. They also lost two goals from corner kicks where the ball was played into the edge of the six yard box. Not saying either was his fault, but his inability to come of his line was always one of his achilles heel.

Here’s a notable tale from coaching circles: set-piece specialist Austin MacPhee has quit Aston Villa. He’s off to join Chelsea, one of three teams who were chasing his signature.

Time was when the transfer of a backroom employee in MacPhee’s role wouldn’t have made the news. Moreover, time was when the precise position he held at Villa Park didn’t even exist. But in the goalscoring dash, set-piece specialists are more and more coveted. Villa scored 29 times from dead-ball situations last season. On MacPhee’s three-year watch, they scored 74 times in total.

Scott Tiffoney attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs including Raith. Wonder if we will be one of them? The sort of player we could be doing with. Always looked a threat when playing against us for Partick.

Agreed about Tiffoney, always looked dangerous and would be a great addition to our squad.

Yes I`d be happy to see Tiffoney pull on the B&W.

....Think it was the start of the Grant era. Played Partick at EEP 0-3. Tiffoney ran riot down the left wing. At 27 good age for a winger.

I must admit I`d forgotten he`d moved from Dundee to Killie. He must have fallen out of favour with Neil McCann who was a winger himself of course!

unless there is a change of system and a lot of departures in that area then dont see how he would fit in, other areas and type should be the priority for now.

If he’s available he’d be good competition for Morrison no?

NL doesn`t play Morrison as a winger which is maybe why we haven`t seen the best of him. When he played against us for Falkirk he always seemed most dangerous on the wing with the freedom to come inside. Tiffoney might suffer the same fate.
