262. Author: Dandy Warhol Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 10:39 I think we need to temper our expectations, I feel some are assuming a title challenge. After the last few years I`d settle for being up there and around the play offs, it would be a vast improvement imo and signs of progress, promotion and building a team of the type of signings to achieve that is a quite a challenge in one year. I don`t wanna go down like disco. Reply |
263. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 10:42 I think it’s important to be in the top four and close to the lead in January. That could mean more investment to have a shot at automatic promotion? ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Reply |
264. Author: rikaka Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 11:19 The championship has always been quite even. There is absolutely no reason why we couldn`t win the league with good recruitment. Lennon isn`t here to work on a show string budget Reply |

266. Author: thebear Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 11:22 I`m assuming a title challenge, in this league your challenging for the top or the bottom, we can`t be bottom again. Theres no safe middle ground. Post Edited (Fri 06 Jun 11:23) Reply |

Author: fergie Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 13:12 obiwanyouknowme, Sat 31 May 09:17 He gets booked as he plays with passion and commitment, although he was rash and stupid in bookings from the last few games of the season. Why you don`t rate him is baffling to me, though, as he is a commited, passionate player with skill. What`s not to like in that? Reply |
269. Author: obiwanyouknowme Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 13:40 He was poor and lost his place to Clay that’s all I can say. Happy to be proved wrong the season ahead but I don’t think he’ll be a starter. Reply |

Right manager, good, hard working attitude and a wee bit of quality (especially upfront and between the sticks) and you never know. "Never shay never"-James Bond Pars fan. Magpies fan. 273. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 14:23 If we had 11 Chris Hamiltons we wouldn’t win a game. He tries and runs and loves the club but there is no end product or quality. He’ll be a squad player and that’s it. Reply |
274. Author: jojo Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 14:25 For someone who is rated by many he does not seem to stay anywhere beyond first contract. Maybe managers see something they don’t like or doesn’t live up to promise or he’s possibly disruptive in dressing room . Could just be he fancies new challenge every so often . Reply |

276. Author: wee eck Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 15:08 Some folk seem to think if the team`s had a poor season you should just get rid of everybody. It`s like the old view that anyone who was in the squad that got us relegated should have gone, regardless of how they performed in the promotion season. The whole point about changing manager is that he casts a fresh eye over the squad and maybe sees players he thinks may not have realised their potential under previous managers. This may be because they were played out of position or in a formation that didn`t suit them. In some ways giving a player a new contract is possibly just like signing a new player. Reply |

278. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 17:06 Quality as in a final pass to a team mate would be good. I’m not denying he’s a Pars fan and he tries every game but his overall quality is not good enough. That’s my opinion based on within him over the seasons. Reply |
279. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 17:07 He’s not going to be pinging diagonal balls over full backs. His job is to win the ball and knock a ten yard pass to a team mate. ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Reply |
280. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 17:41 Which he struggles to do most games, I’ve lost count him giving away possession with misplaced 10 yard passes. There’s a reason he’s only been given a one year contract. Reply |
