There is little value in bringing in players in their mid 30`s unless they bring serious experience, still injury free and able to contribute on the park over the season. G Wardrope Reply |
382. Author: Berkey Date: Tue 10th Jun 2025. 20:37 If the plan is just for development and mid table/try for 4th next season then it half makes you wonder why push the boat so much for Lenny? Seen quite a few you would have been keen to see at East end sign for rivals and other clubs, already the pool of Scottish free transfers with the quality to take us further is diminishing. Hopefully a few signings with the ability to make a difference are announced this week. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |

387. Author: obiwanyouknowme Date: Tue 10th Jun 2025. 22:27 Out of the clubs who were already in the league there’s not been much in the way of signings so no really missed out on anyone. St J have signed 3 players who were in this league last season and imo are not that great. Ross County have signed experience yeah Gallagher would have been nice but our defence was good towards the end of the season and as for GMS he will get booted of the ball most weeks and has been injury prone last few seasons. Patience is the key it will come good Reply |
388. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Tue 10th Jun 2025. 23:11 da_no_1, Tue 10 Jun 21:33 We did finish 7th last season. I don’t think we can be turning our noses up at teams signing players who finished at a higher level than us so far. Now, if we go out and sign higher level players then great, but currently we have signed a League One midfielder and thats it so far. Time will tell if patience is the key or not. Reply |

390. Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Wed 11th Jun 2025. 06:20 Berkey, Tue 10 Jun 20:37 Getting Lenny in was a massive statement from the club. Let’s be honest, we landed the best available manager to develop the young talent we`re clearly building around. And he’s got the CV to back it up. Look at what he did with Frimpong. Perfect example of how he can improve a player and help them kick on to the next level. As for who we’ve “missed out” on?I’m not seeing it. Be interested to hear who you think we should have gone for. From what I’ve seen, Livingston have recruited really poorly given they are now in the top league. Can’t say any of the Championship sides have made standout signings either, unless I’ve missed something? c'mon the pars Reply |
391. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Wed 11th Jun 2025. 07:20 I’m sure we’ll see some new faces in one the next couple of weeks. At the moment we are weaker than last season given we let so many go and have only brought in 2 (Bray and Gilmour) more additions are obviously required and I’m sure behind the scenes we’re close to a few getting over the line. 399. Author: wee eck Date: Wed 11th Jun 2025. 13:08 Stevie May has joined Livi on a permanent deal after being released by SJ. This was revealed in a Q&A with Scott Burns of the Daily Record. There was no mention of the Pars at all (presumably because no one asked a question about them!). Reply |
400. Author: GJS93 Date: Wed 11th Jun 2025. 14:02 Daily Record: EXCLUSIVE! Want heading to Somerset Ayr United are set to bring Shaun Want back from Ireland. The experienced defender has just turned down a new deal at Larne. Want has been in Northern Ireland for three years and wanted to be closer to home for family reasons. Scott Brown is set to fight off competition from several other Championship rivals to sign him. He is expected to sign a two year deal at Somerset Park, subject to a medical. Want came through the ranks at Hamilton Accies before he went out and had title success and tasted European football with Larne. Reply |
