Isaac English - now there`s a name from SFL journeyman obscurity of the 90s. Must be his son with a unique name like that.

Alasdair Davidson ex Celtic B training with us

Wow, another kid who’s not played games. We’re really making an impression with other clubs in the league

I see youngsters like that as adding depth to academy, with the potential to make an impression in the first team, and in the end net us a decent transfer ahead. It`s prudent business if it pays off. Not all will be successful, but I think it`s worth the risk as they won`t be costing a lot.

We`ll still be bringing in more immediate first team focused players, I don`t doubt that.

Local lad I imagine since I`m sure I saw Joe Cardle posting a while ago that he`d been in for a session. Quite a big lad iirc. Must be decent to be at Celtic until this age.

It looks like Matt O`Riley is on his way from Brighton to Napoli with Celtic neting an add-on fee.

Formerly at Inverkeithing Utd before Celtic.

He would be a similar type signing as Zeke Cameron. As mentioned above it`s building a stronger pool of development players that are closer to 1st team level.

Very very slow to bring the experienced quality players we badly need.

Murray is a good signing for QP. Would get a start in our squad as it sits the now.

He well might. However that`s not a reason to sign him in mid June.

Lewis Budinauckas has joined Partick Thistle on a permanent deal. He`s signed a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months. He was at Firhill on loan last season from Rangers and featured eight times.

Surely, if there`s an opportunity to sign players who would significantly improve our squad, we should be signing them as soon as we can (and before others do)?

Euan Murray would significantly improve our squad? Debatable.

Maybe we think we can get an even better quality of defender?

Just playing devils` advocate.

Murray wasn`t impressive first time around. Scored a few goals from corners, fine, but not a great defender.

Just had a look at oddschecker . They have us in at 4/1 third favourites for the league .
Do they know something we don`t 🤔

Or maybe we can’t sign players as we are aiming too high and missing out on targets?

The pars could land Benjamin Sesko tomorrow and someone would be greeting that we didn`t sign Gyokeres.

Dont think anyone has hit the panic button yet, but it will start getting that way watching teams squad building whilst we aren’t signing many players.

Are we targeting 6/7 big names that will cost us money? I hope so.

Lets just hope theres method to the madness if we have already signed players and waiting to reveal them.

Possibly made signings and waiting to unveil them with the new strips.

Possibly the issues with sponsorship have impacted our budget for players, temporarily at least.

It’s hard to know but it is frustrating watching other teams in the division sign players who would improve our squad.

We need 7 or 8 players of real quality in the door to compete at the top of the championship. Whether we get them or not will only be revealed in the fullness of time.
