I can see NL using KRH further forward where he will be more effective.

Possibly, he was moved up front for a bit at Tyncastle.

Rumours that St.Johnstone have signed Stevie Mallan.

Mallan hasn`t played for a while but he`s quite creative is he not? thought he was good for St-Mirren and Hibs

You’d think we would be chasing a creative attacking midfielder not another cdm/cm.

He ent to Salford and then played abroad, but I’m not sure how regular. I thought he was excellent at St.Mirren and Hibs, assuming he’s still at that level, he’ll be a big signing for them.

Lennon isn’t ruling out the possibility of a return of Victor Wanyama. Goalie we currently have on trial is from Bournemouth https://www.removepaywall.com/search?url=https://www.dunfermlinepress.com/sport/25322978.dunfermline-neil-lennon-victor-wanyama-aims-add-experience/

Going to hazard a guess that the goalie may be Callan McKenna, formerly of Queens Park.

Unlikely to be McKenna. He was in the last Scotland squad. More likely to be Will Dennis who was at Kilmarnock previously or another younger keeper

in the official site version:
"A goalkeeper remains a priority, with Neil confirming: “There’s a list of options. Again, we’ll take our time. We’ve already inquired about a number of goalkeepers that haven’t worked out, but we’ve still got plenty of options that we’re looking at at the minute.”

add in the part in the Press:
The club are, though, looking at a range of targets, with their on-trial goalkeeper, who Press Sport understands is from Bournemouth, featuring in a bounce game with Rangers on Tuesday.
"He`s still here," Lennon said."He was here late last week. He played in the bounce game on Tuesday and he`s still here at the minute, so, we`re still looking.
"But, in terms of the number one spot, if you want to call it that, we`re still looking at the minute."

dont think it would be McKenna either but would they need to look at Dennis on trial with the amount he played at Killie? Paulsen was on the bench v Hibs the other day so its not him, that last line about the number one spot plus he said he wanted two keepers makes me think its one of the other young keepers, Allan played for their youth side last weekend which would leave Kai Crampton.

Stevie Mallan signs for StJohnstone after playing as a trialist for them the other night.

Jamie Lindsay signs for Ross County, was there a couple of years ago

Could be their 35 year old Brazilian keeper. 35 is still young for a goalie.

one id hoped we might go for but was unlikely after the other midfield signings and re-signings, Reece McAlear signs for StJohnstone, undisclosed fee from Livingston.

I would say at the moment Saints, Ross County and Ayr are in a stronger position than us and have signed well. Hopefully before the season starts we can attract a few - much needed experienced players to improve the squad.

Add Raith and Partick as well. Another if they teams wingers or strikers would dramatically improve us.

We should have more than Airdrie, Morton, Arbroath and QP but looking marooned in 6th place

Totally agree, way behind County, Ayr, Saints and Rovers in terms of firepower and quality in the final third. No way we are challenging for the title with the squad as it currently stands. Lennon talking of title challenge is pure fantasy.

Not sure I totally agree with Raith & Partick if I’m being honest. I think Raith look weaker than us, Partick signing Watt, won’t replace Graham’s goals.

Agreed that NL talk of “being in the mix” or “challenging” isn’t looking possible at the moment. I’m not concerned about the bottom slots, but I am concerned we are going to be off a Top 4 push.

Why do Raith look weaker than us ?

They`ve shown in the last couple of seasons they can score goals waaaaaay better than us. Compare our forward players to theirs and answer that again.

And they just got beaten by East Kilbride because they failed to be clinical in front of goal. Just adding context, don’t know who will be good this year really.

NL has acknowledged that we need to add to the present squad to be competing at the top end of the table. It`s a bit early to make accurate predictions I think.

Let’s wait and compare the final squads. Still plenty time to add the quality players NL wants.
