505. Author: da_no_1 Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 10:13 Going to be really tough to get anywhere near those 2 at the top. Wondering if we`re resetting any targets we might`ve set originally. Playoffs would do for me. "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Reply |
506. Author: Buster_Brown Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 10:25 da_no_1, Mon 16 Jun 10:13 From what I’ve seen and heard, whether it’s chatting with other fans or reading through forums and social media, I think most of us would be pretty happy with a solid push for the play-offs. Whether that’s the expectation inside the dressing room or at the club, I’m not so sure. One thing I think we’d all agree on is that Gallagher and Docherty going to County are solid signings for them. If they can keep GMS fit and consistently on the park, he could be just as important. St Johnstone have been quietly steady too, and to be honest, I think Tumilty would’ve been a decent signing for just about any Championship club. So yeah, we’ll need to wait and see what kind of business we do from here. But in my view, aiming for a play-off challenge feels like a fair expectation at this point. With just one transfer window, it’s a big ask to go from 7th to 1st overnight. Reply |

508. Author: Higgys Mohawk Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 11:00 Yeah I think we’d need a pretty big improvement from players already under contract (alongside our new signings) to go from 7th to 1st. It’ll be really interesting to see who we actually sign after all of the players rumoured. With the signings of Gilmour and Oakley-Boothe I wonder if it’ll be a 4-3-3 with those two in the midfield with Otoo? If that was the case we need at least a CB, a couple of wingers and a striker. So plenty of work to do. Post Edited (Tue 17 Jun 01:01) Reply |

510. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 11:59 Hope we are signing more than just Jews, don’t want to be classed as Scotlands next Bigoted brother 😂 These signings are the type that would liked to have seen our investors go for. Experienced players that have succeeded at this level before. We either haven’t gone for them, or been priced out, so let’s hope we can make moves for the next tier ahead of Raith, Ayr, Partick etc. Would like to see a couple more new faces come in this week, so that this window doesn’t start looking like previous summers. Optimism is still high btw 😂 Reply |

Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 12:23 da_no_1, Mon 16 Jun 10:13 I would think top 4 has always been the aim, and to be fair to Lennon, that’s a realistic and steady target given where the squad’s at. He’s clearly focused on building something sustainable, and you can see the year on year progress being the plan. I’m all for bringing in "pathway" signings as long as it’s balanced with (ready made) for the want of a better term, quality where we need it. The holes in the squad are obvious, but I’m hopeful we’ll get them sorted in good time. Still some weeks left in the window I still think there is no need to panic yet. Wouldn’t shock me if Tobi’s in goal for the opener, and I’m alright with that if it happens to be the case. He’s shown he can handle it when called upon. Defence obviously needs attention imo with RWB, CB and LWB are all areas where we need proper reinforcements. But again, I’ve got faith the recruitment team knows this and moves will be made to strengthen these areas. Midfield`s in a good spot if we play with a 3. Solid options and a bit of depth too. If the right upgrade comes up, great, but not a priority. Up front, we could use another striker. Someone to take the load off Kane and give us a different option when needed. All in all, I trust Lennon’s got a handle on what we need and where. Would be nice to see a couple come in soon to give them time to bed in, but there seems to be a clear plan in place, and that’s a big positive compared to the last window. c'mon the pars Reply |

Are we going to announce a period of mourning every time another team signs a random player? "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Reply |
516. Author: RossF Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 20:09 Bit of a dickish comment…. It’s just an opinion that they would improve our squad - what’s the big deal with that? For the record, I’m still confident we’ll make serious improvements in the next few weeks - hopefully better than the Ayr signings. Post Edited (Mon 16 Jun 20:10) Reply |
517. Author: Never10yairds Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 20:21 Yeah I tend to agree, I reckon they’d have both have walked into our first team had we signed them. Still confident we will see 6 or 7 come in who are substantially better than what we have on the books now. We will need them if we want to compete with RC, StJ and Ayr. Reply |
518. Author: Buster_Brown Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 20:31 I’m not too worried that we haven’t announced any big signings yet—aside from Gilmour, and time will tell with him. What does concern me, though, is the lack of obvious, realistic talent out there, domestically, for us to go after. I’m assuming we’re not shopping in the Scottish market this window, or if we are, surely it’s not in the free transfer pool? Also, getting a bit fed up with the Dylan Easton rumours. No one’s backing it up with anything concrete, so it just feels like folk are at it for a laugh. Reply |

Author: Bertie Paton Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 20:54 ``I’m assuming we’re not shopping in the Scottish market this window, or if we are, surely it’s not in the free transfer pool?`` Cook said in his June update that we are exploring International and domestic markets. Data driven and traditional scouting techniques in the domestic market. Lennon said a few weeks ago that he wanted most his players in for the start of pre-season training, clearly something has not gone to plan and we have missed out on a few targets. Reply |
