Go get him James Bord! Reply |
1062. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 15:05 Good stats but a different type of player from Kane isn`t he? He likes to run on to the ball rather than hold it up for others I think. Playing him would require a change in style but who knows. I think he may have 2 years left on his contract and Hamilton wouldn`t be able to sign anyone to replace him. Reply |
1063. Author: GJS93 Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 15:31 Shaw might have no interest in coming here if he wants to leave Hamilton but its too much of an obvious one not to ask the question at least. if you got him, maybe the other striker could do a similar job to Kane if required. Lennon talks about having a look this week, might have to look even further far and wide to even get one forward in at this rate. Reply |

1065. Author: jake89 Date: Sun 27th Jul 2025. 16:59 It looks like Shaw was at Hibs the same time as Lennon but spent a while on loan to Stenhousemuir. Regardless, he`ll be known to Lennon already. Reply |

1075. Author: Berkey Date: Mon 28th Jul 2025. 20:47 Whooft jakubiak! Talk about a 1 game wonder. Amazing for one game and 10minutes at ayr and the rest of the season spent running into defenders and relying solely on getting the break of the ball to keep possession. 1076. Author: GG Riva Date: Tue 29th Jul 2025. 10:00 Berkey, Mon 28 Jul 20:47 You`re a hard, hard taskmaster, Berkey. I don`t know how many appearances Jakubiak made for the Pars, but it`s hard to argue with your brutal analysis. He was outstanding in the game v Dundee United that you alluded to and he scored 2 goals at Somerset, although I wasn`t at that game. My thinking is that if a player can demonstrate that kind of ability in 1 or 2 games a good manager should be able to use him in such a way as to maximise these performances. The only way that wouldn`t be achieved would be if the player was bone idle. There can`t be that many footballers who don`t want to do their best to win games once they`re out on the pitch. ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |
1077. Author: Bertie Paton Date: Tue 29th Jul 2025. 10:26 Jakubiak was also very good in the Friday night 4-1 winat Firhill. Would have him back though. He shown consistently over his career that he can`t produce on a regular basis and struggles for goals. Reply |
1078. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 29th Jul 2025. 10:48 He certainly isn`t a prolific goalscorer. His career average is 1 goal every 6 games although he did manage 1 every 3 games at Dundee. His main assets are the strength to hold the ball up and a decent turn of space. He never seems in any hurry to get signed up. It was right at the end of the summer window in 2023 that he signed for us and last season he didn`t sign for PT until February. Maybe football isn`t his sole source of income. Reply |

1080. Author: neils Date: Tue 29th Jul 2025. 12:32 He was fine, the issue was his fitness -hes permanently bandaged up This was why Dundee let him go. I`m guessing he gets signed up late, for the same reason we signed him, he`s the last decent player available at the clubs price range. I liked him a lot, but absolutely should not be signing any more players who need injury constantly managed. Reply |
