If we or our AI, or whatever system we’re using, are keeping tabs on Leeds’ academy well enough to identify JCM, then if Moore had really impressed, you’d think he would’ve been flagged as a potential target to partner him. It would be nice if we had addressed the issue we have had for a number of years and that is in the striking department. I have a lot on this year both work and health and I am starting to think is walk up a better option this year. It has been a hard watch for a few years now. Reply |

749. Author: RossF Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 10:51 Would not imagine the former Cove keeper will be our number one if he signs. I don’t believe he had a club last season. Post Edited (Mon 23 Jun 11:21) Reply |
750. Author: GJS93 Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 11:00 he played against us in the cup, thats who i hinted at last week. waiting till the work permits are granted before announcing them is maybe the proper way to do it although nearly every foreign signing is announced before hand with the line "subject to a work permit". I don’t believe he had a club last season.`` He was at Cove last season. He played 13 games but was behind Nick Surman who has just signed for Aberdeen. Many Cove fans think he`s just as good as Surman. He only 23, but rated. Reply |

Author: Geordiepar Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 12:21 GJS93, Mon 23 Jun 11:00 I imagine that for most teams who announce foreign players they are likely to be pretty sure that the work permit issue is more of a formality. May be more uncertainty regarding our club obtaining work permits etc so more prudent to not announce until sorted out. If there are 22 players in Bulgaria, does suggest there are a number of trialists unless the likes of Liam Hoggan, Ewan MacLeod, John Tod, Freddie Rowe etc have travelled. If you leave them out I think I get a squad of 19. (That includes Andy Tod, Sam Young and Taylor Sutherland). Reply |
753. Author: Bandy Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 12:30 Maybe the fabled £200k Bulgarian striker is awaiting a work permit. If my FM experience is anything to go by he`s got nae chance unless he`s an established international :). Do we get ESC slots in Scotland or is that an English thing? Reply |
754. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 12:33 You need “15 points” to get a work permit. This is made of various things like international appearances, age, potential, calibre etc etc. If you fall short by a few points, it goes to an appeals panel. Now if it’s a player needing a few points to play for the Old Firm, then it’s almost sure they can get a concession. A wee bit tougher if you are a club in the championship ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Post Edited (Mon 23 Jun 12:35) Reply |
755. Author: GJS93 Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 12:42 you can go to the appeal panel for any player even if they have 0 points, put the case forward and let the panel decide which is rare for it to be rejected certainly on footballing grounds. clubs in league one and two have done it in recent years as well as championship clubs, the main problem is there is no timeframe as to when the work permit would be rubber stamped by the home office, it could be a couple of days or a couple of months. english thing Bandy although it should have been brought in up here instead of the system agreed by the SFA. geordiepar there are more than 22 players out there including mcleod, john tod, rowe etc. Reply |

758. Author: Playup_Pompey Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 13:20 work permit issue works both ways (buying and selling). Mebude didnt play a single minute after leaving us as didnt have work permit. Probably also "limits" the height we can sell players onwards (outside of UK) should they come in and make an impression. ![]() Reply |
759. Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Mon 23rd Jun 2025. 15:49 Apparently Steven Fletcher’s set to join up with the squad for the behind closed doors game. It sounds like he’ll be involved in some capacity. Big name to be bringing in at this level if it comes off and if he’s anywhere near fit he’d be a massive handful in this league. c'mon the pars Reply |
