Going younger as a squad, so is he really the type of guy we want in the dressing room? His attitude always seemed a bit suspect. One of those players that if it’s not going his way, you can just picture him sulking about, bringing the mood down.

And as DA rightly pointed out, let’s not forget how he left the last time. Didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, did he?

No doubt he’s a good player on his day, but how often is that day? Starting to feel like the cons outweigh the pros for me. Right now, we’re trying to build something fresh, hungry, and happy to be part of a squad. I`m not sure he fits that mould anymore.

Would rather give the minutes to someone who actually wants to graft and grow here.

That’s actually a very fair point. Well said Cammy 👏🏻

"going younger asba squad" not sure that`s the transfer policy. Everything points to a balanced squad.

No one seems to have an issue with Joe Cardle coming here the way he did...

If it was true about his last stint here, no thanks!

If what was true?

Dom is exactly the type of player we need.

Was in hospitality last season and heard from 2 different people that he was disruptive in the dressing room.

I will not go into details but one of the people was a well respected ex manager of our club, he elaborated the story, who am I to doubt him?

Thomas is the exact type of player we need…once in every ten games when the telly cameras are here. Pretty much a man down every other game though and seems like a billy big baws.

I`ve heard multiple times that he`s an absolute walloper

Have we ever re-signed a player and they`ve improved the squad?

I suspect theres probably quite a few examples, but two that spring to mind straight away are Joe Cardle and Greg Shields

Dom Thomas by all accounts in an absolute walloper. Even for all their faults, we’ve had quite a tight dressing room so I don’t think introducing a known walking fanny pack would be the best idea. Let him go make an arse of it somewhere else

Son Of God himself…..Greg Shields, Joe Cardle, Gary Mason, Stevie Crawford (from the top of my head) all returned to the club and had good second spells here.

He can, however, be dismissed as any sort of option given that he was part of a squad which once got relegated - and that means he`s proven to be not good enough at this level - and never will be.

Sound logic that.

I`m pretty certain DA-go was being sarcastic, Athletico.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Looking at the results after he left Dom pretty much single handedly kept Queen’s Park up. He would absolutely be the type of player we could do with.

Not sure whether Dom’s problems with disruptions last time were caused by working with yogi and Grant, both total wallapers.

The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

You never can tell with this site GG.

Anyway, Dom is arriving this week with a fellow player from the NIFL. A player with European experience, watch this space. 😁

Calum Morrison or Liam Boyce.

Dom Thomas doesn`t play in the NIFL. Derry City play in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Dom Thomas coming back would only be welcomed if he has had a major attitude shift. Obviously wouldn’t know that until into the season.

Boyce - Id avoid as he is more injury prone than Kane. 106 league games in 5 years would be a worry, plus he is 34.

Calum Morrison or Liam Boyce.

I’ve no idea if either signing is actually on the cards, but both would be fantastic additions for the club. We all know how effective Callumn Morrison can be at this level, a proper game-changer and a goal threat. F**kirk definitely seemed to struggle after selling him in January; their results certainly dipped not long after.

Liam Boyce has had his injury troubles at Hearts, but he’s still a proven goalscorer and a real handful up top, a proper battering ram of a forward.

I imagine both players are still under contract, having only joined Linfield and Derry in January, but if there’s even a chance of bringing them in, they’d be cracking signings.

The usual lot still greeting about Dom signing the pre-contract to get well away when we were utter dog *hit 😂

Brilliant player and probably the most creative we`ve had since Gibson
