He makes the short move from Celtic for the campaign ahead - as reported by Record Sport over the weekend. The right-back, 21, has Championship experience from a previous spell on loan at Queen`s Park and he earned minutes during pre-season for the Hoops this summer against the likes of Cork City, Sporting and Newcastle United. It was interesting hearing Brendan Rodgers making comments about not having his full team yet and "these things take time" so we`re in good company!" considering they sold their #1 striker in Jan and still not replaced him a week into August (when the striker they sold has already moved clubs again since leaving them) not sure how long these things do take/should take. ![]() Reply |

1112. Author: dafc111 Date: Tue 5th Aug 2025. 20:30 Im not so sure. 25 appearances at club level over the last 3 seasons tells its own story. Majority of those coming from the bench. His performances for the National team have left a lot to be desired. He`ll bring experience and leadership. Will do a job but not sure he is any better than what they have already. Reply |
1113. Author: stevemac Date: Tue 5th Aug 2025. 20:34 .....as long as he stays away from the national team. Total bombs are at that level. Reply |
1114. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Tue 5th Aug 2025. 20:36 You can’t compare the standard at international level to that of the spl. It’s to his credit that he has played for Scotland whilst not being a regular for his club. ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Post Edited (Tue 05 Aug 20:36) Reply |
1115. Author: dafc111 Date: Tue 5th Aug 2025. 21:17 Raymie the Legend, Tue 5 Aug 20:36 Agreed but you can compare the SPL to League 1/championship and he struggled to get in to Birmingham`s side last season. For what it`s worth, he shouldn`t be anywhere near the Scotland team imo Reply |

1120. Author: wee eck Date: Wed 6th Aug 2025. 14:35 Another Scotland international on the move but he may be third choice - `Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of goalkeeeper Angus Gunn. The Scotland international has been without a club since the end of last season after his contract with Norwich City expired. But Forest - who will play in the Conference League this season - have now handed the 29-year-old a 12 month contract. Gunn will vie for a place in between the posts with Mats Selz and Carlos Miguel.` Reply |
