Don`t think we should forget how Chris Hamilton filled in at the back during the bad injury spells. Not sure his best position is midfield, but more suited in the back 3. I hope he goes on to gave a good season

Agree.

Playing in a back three he did well and surprisingly, given his height, was rarely beaten in the air. I also think he`d be a decent option as a right back in a back four.

Looks like Chris Hamilton by the latest post 😂

Twitter admin has had a shocker if that`s all it is.

It can`t be as no one is that naive. Probably both Graham and Hamilton as player/coaches

Can’t imagine Hamilton will be a coach. He is only 23. Probably is announcing both of them though

He is definitely better in defence as when he gets turned in midfield he is not exactly the quickest. He reads the game well though and bleeds black and white.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Fair point, I always think Hamilton is older for some reason.

Graham would only sign if there is a coaching element involved, he`s made that clear.

"I think Lennon sees much of himself in Hamilton ?" Don`t be disgusting, kids read this 😃 .

Maybe it`s Tobi or Scott Bain or James Trafford or Jamie Vardy or..........

Let the speculation commence.

I think there should be a separate thread for Pars related transfer rumours and keep this one purely for other clubs.

I’m pleased that Chris has signed on. Can play in a number of positions and always gives his all.

Hothead without the ball, hopeless with the ball…..but he runs about a lot 🙄😂 we need much better than him to earn us promotion. Queue the pile on……

I’ve said it often but I’ll say it again. Every team needs a good balance.
Lennon wasn’t known for his passing ability. He won the ball and played a simple pass. Was judged as being a hot head too, but was he not Martin O’Neill’s first signing for Celtic ?

I think Lennon sees much of himself in Hamilton ?

The problem is Hamilton wins the ball then fails to make the simple pass 9 times out of 10…..

I would have space for Hamilton in the squad. He will do a job especially if we have to grind out a result late on

First signing has to be a statement signing and last seasons top scorer in the championship would be that. Hamilton may be announced shortly after.

9 times of 10 aye? Have a word wi` yer yersel`.

He went through a spell where he was picking up far too many bookings but I`d rather have someone who`s so committed that he would but himself about than the opposite.

Raymie wrote that " Lennon wasn’t known for his passing ability. He won the ball and played a simple pass." He was also very good at making himself available to receive a pass from a teammate, and then pass to a team mate.

Surely not a big build up for Hamilton signing a new deal.

Personally thought he should`ve been released. Being aggressive and a Pars fan goes a long way clearly. Not a footballer in my eyes.

Would be happy with Brian Graham on a 1 year deal though.

If it’s just Hamilton getting a new contract that’s embarrassing 😂 We’ll be the laughing stock of Scottish football on social media. Hopeful that it’s maybe Graham and Hamilton signing tomorrow?

How will we be a laughing stock?

Not against Hamilton staying, quite versatile in what might be a smaller squad and not the highest wages. I would be worried about our ambitions for top 3 if he’s regularly getting a game in middle of the park though.

Kane (young when Kane is injured) and Graham up front is an interesting one, if we get some decent wingers and midfielders in could be decent. Better than what we’re watched in the last few years anyway.

Maybe it appears underwhelming as some folk either put 2 and 2 together and got 5 or bought into the `it`s definitely Graham` assumption.

Hamilton is good enough to have been a regular in an Arbroath team that just missed out on promotion from the Championship and has a strong enough character to have been appointed team vice-captain at a young age. He is worth a place in the team squad and it will be up to him to warrant a regular team place.we

I`m glad he`s signed on, as said elsewhere he can play a number of positions and isn`t vice captain for no reason, solid enough if not spectacular.

Exactly. Every squad needs a player like him.
