He`s won 2 league titles and has European League experience. I`ll row the boat over from Larne myself to get him here. Reply |

364. Author: DAFCinBK Date: Mon 9th Jun 2025. 16:28 A piece in the Belfast Telegraph about Want`s departure, from two days ago: Scottish defender Shaun Want has left Larne after three successful seasons at Inver Park. The 28 year-old departure is a hammer blow for the Invermen, as Want is widely regarded as one of the Irish League’s best centre backs. In a statement, Larne said: ‘We can confirm that Shaun Want will depart the club upon the expiry of his contract this month, returning to Scotland for family reasons. “The club respects Shaun’s decision to put family and wishes him the best of luck at his next club.” Want joined Larne from Hamilton Academicals, where he spent seven season making 47 appearances in the Scottish Premiership. At Larne, Want won two Irish League winners’ medals and lifted the County Antrim Shield on two occasions. This season he helped the Invermen qualify for the Conference League thanks to a second placed finish in the Sports Direct Premiership. Reply |

366. Author: jake89 Date: Mon 9th Jun 2025. 17:00 Potentially being unfair about Thomas. The guy signed a contract elsewhere like many others have done and the only reports on an attitude problem seem to have come from assumption rather than from people within the club. Reply |

376. Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Tue 10th Jun 2025. 18:44 Buster_Brown, Tue 10 Jun 17:05 Don’t think many apart from a few on here expected the club to just start chucking money around. We`ve put some funds into improving the pitch, minor adjustments to the astro with a few portacabins at Rosyth. Fair to say we’re spending more on the first team than we have in recent seasons, but I doubt Lennon’s been given a blank cheque. From what he said in his last interview, it sounds like the plan is steady progress. Aim for top 4 this season, then kick on from there with a few required tweaks. That said, it will cost us a bit more this time round, just because the first team squad really needed strengthening and we paid off a fair bit of the squad from last season. c'mon the pars Post Edited (Tue 10 Jun 18:45) Reply |

That said, there were definitely a fair few supporters — on here, P&B, and across social media — who seemed to expect the club to go all-in and bankroll “well kent faces” like GMS, Gallagher, etc. Hey, it still might happen (I’ve said a few times that I thought Gallagher would’ve been a great addition), but personally, I’d much rather see us take the progress route than build a squad full of 33 year olds.
